Very good book. Angel is on the run from a man who is trying to kill her. While fleeing she has an accident and is rescued by Gabe. When she regains consciousness she can't remember anything, but is healthy otherwise. I really liked both Gabe and Angel. Gabe is serving as a temporary deputy while coping with a broken heart. After rescuing Angel he feels responsible for her, so while the sheriff's department tries to find out who she is, Gabe takes her home with him. He is attracted to her but has no intention of taking advantage of her that way. He enjoys being with her and finds that her presence makes his house feel like a home. He soon realizes that he has fallen in love with her and wants to keep her in his life. Angel flees in terror from the man trying to kill her, but has fear of another type when she awakens with no memory. She feels that there is something she should be afraid of, but the memory isn't there. She quickly comes to trust Gabe and the other people of Forever and is happy working in Miss Joan's diner. She is attracted to Gabe and it isn't long before she is able to show him that he wouldn't be taking advantage of her, but making her happy. Despite her still missing memory she is very happy there. I really liked the way that she was such a people person and how much everyone liked her. I also loved the way she was able to stand up to the bad guy at the end and make her happy ending with Gabe possible.

Very good book. I loved the way that Eli was always there for Kasey. They had always been friends, but Eli had loved her as more than a friend also. Eli was the one that Kasey called when she went into labor and her husband was nowhere to be found. He was also there when the baby was born. When her husband asked Eli to take care of Kasey because he was leaving and had lost his ranch in a poker game, Eli stepped right up. Eli's love for Kasey was obvious in everything he did. He was very careful not to blurt out his feelings because he didn't know how she felt and didn't want to make her uncomfortable or want to leave. Kasey couldn't believe that she was deserted and homeless. Hollis hadn't been a good husband, but she had never expected this. She felt like she was taking advantage of Eli's friendship, but she had nowhere else to go. As the days went by, she discovered she was happy with Eli, and that those feelings of friendship were growing into something stronger. Eli made her feel safe and cared for. When she discovered that there was passion there too, she couldn't believe her luck. I loved the way that her feelings for Eli got stronger as time passed, and that she was able to realize that what she felt for him was true love. The scene at Alma's wedding was great, and I loved the way Hollis was dealt with.

a guilty heart and a lot of soul-searching to do, he's back in Forever, Texas, for his grandfather's wedding. Taking a walk down the aisle himself is the last thing on his mind. That is, until he sees Alma Rodriguez, the woman he was crazy about but left behind.
As
a deputy, Alma knows how to keep her emotions in check. It's not easy,
especially when Cash looks into her eyes. He hurt her once, yet she
can't resist having him in her life again. Alma sees he's troubled, and
she wants to help—if she can keep love out of the equation. But it just
might be the answer they both need!
Excellent book. I really liked the story, despite its rather dark beginning. Cash's reappearance in Forever for his grandfather's wedding has brought back a lot of memories for Alma. When he left town he broke her heart. At first, she wants nothing to do with him. Then she sees that he is suffering, and realizes that her heart has never stopped loving him. She wants to help him with whatever is bothering him. Cash also realizes that Alma is just what he needs, but can't see saddling her with the darkness that has taken him over. I really liked seeing the way she worked to keep him involved, all the while hoping that it would be enough to help hi,. I really liked the way she was able to reach him at the end.
