Very good book. For most of her life, Megan felt out of place in her own family with her dreams of being a Hollywood costume designer. Now that she has graduated from college she has gotten a job as an intern in Hollywood. She is determined to do well but feels somewhat overwhelmed. During her first week she meets Adam who she initially thinks is a pretty obnoxious guy. I really liked her focus on folowing her dreams. I was pretty disgusted with her family, that not one of them could be bothered to show up for her graduation. I don't blame her for wanting to get away from them. I liked the way that she stayed true to herself and didn't play the stupid Hollywood games. She did a good job trying to follow her boss's rules and just being a friend with Adam in spite of the strong attraction between them. I also liked the way that her friends and her boss came through for her when Adam was being a jerk. I mostly liked Adam, but there were a couple times when Megan should have really made him work to get back in her good graces. He was basically a nice guy, though very good at playing the Hollywood game. He used his image to help him keep his emotions safe. There was something about Megan that he really liked and he found himself wanting to help her learn the ropes. He also liked the fact that she didn't suck up to him but treated him as a normal guy. Unfortunately he made two real boneheaded mistakes in the way he treated her, mostly because he was afraid of the way she made him feel. After the second time she called him on it and pretty much told him to go away until he grew up. It had a good ending. I would really like to see what happens when she brings him back to Larkville with her, and what everyone's reactions are after the way she was treated.

Good book. Anthony is the previously unknown brother of Bronson Dane from Caught in the Spotlight. Now his marriage is in trouble and he has his orphaned niece to take care of. Charlotte left three months earlier when she got tired of always being the lowest on his list of priorities. Now Anthony is at her door, begging her to come back, at least until after he has full legal custody of his niece. She can't turn her back on the baby, but she's worried that Anthony will simply try to seduce her back into their marriage. Anthony knows that he is as fault, and he has every intention of getting Charlotte back in his life and his bed. He irritated me at the beginning, because it really seemed that he was more interested in trying to manipulate her than to actually try to fix what was broken. After a few days of them being together, just the three of them, he started to see the light as to just what her issues with him had been. This made him more determined to fix what was wrong and make their marriage work. Charlotte also realized that part of the problem had been with her not telling Anthony what she wanted and needed from him. I liked seeing the way they finally talked about what they needed to do, and how intent Anthony was on making sure he could do it all. He nearly blew it at the end, but was finally able to get his priorities in order.

I really liked this book. Travis has been in trouble once too often and has been ordered to clean up his act. Charlene has come to Hollywood to find her boyfriend who hasn't been in touch like he said he would. When she finds him in the arms of another, she is devastated and shaky. She is rescued by Travis, who takes her under his wing at first. Then he asks her help in deflecting the bad press and she agrees, as long as they can be friends. Over the next few weeks they spend a lot of time together, perpetuating the myth. Soon Charlene realizes that she has fallen in love with him. Travis is developing feelings for her, but he doesn't know what they are as he is more experienced with rejection than love. I liked Charlene - her ability to see under Travis's shell to the man he really is takes him awhile to get used to, if he ever does. I also liked the way that she protected him from the people who wanted to create more scandal. Her lack of self confidence made it difficult for her to believe that Travis wanted her for more than just cover. Travis was a really terrific guy. I loved the way that he was so grounded and didn't let the fame go to his head. Seeing him jump in to help Charlene, and then be so real when they were together was wonderful. I felt bad for him that his father was such a jerk (as is shown in the previous two books also). I really hope to see him get his just desserts by the end of the series. It was good to see the other two wives in Paris and know that they saw through Amos as well. I loved the ending, and how Travis went to London with Charlene when her grandmother was ill. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

Good book. Mia had come to work for Bronson's mom, from working for his greatest rival. Because of his past with his ex-fiancee, Bronson did not trust Mia at all, but was physically attracted to her. When they gave in to their passions one night, Mia ended up pregnant. Due to his trust issues, Bronson had a hard time believing the baby was his. He also had a feeling that Mia was hiding something from him. She was -- she had come across some information, but was asked to keep it secret until the right time. As the weeks went on, Bronson found himself falling for Mia, and able to believe that the baby is his. Mia has also fallen for him, but keeping the secret is tearing her up. When it all comes out Bronson feels betrayed by Mia and his mother. Mia refuses to give up hope, but Bronson has a hard time coming to grips with the information and Mia's part in it. I hope there will be stories for the other two very soon.
