Series: Kowalskis (Book 1)
When Keri Daniels's boss finds out she has previous carnal knowledge of
reclusive bestselling author Joe Kowalski, she gives Keri a choice: get
an interview or get a new job.
Joe's never forgotten the first girl to break his heart, so he's
intrigued to hear Keri's back in town -- and looking for him. He
proposes an outrageous plan -- for every day she survives with his
family on their annual camping trip, Keri can ask one question.
The chemistry between Joe and Keri is as potent as the bug spray, but
Joe's sister is out to avenge his broken heart, and Keri hasn't ridden
an ATV since she was ten. Who knew a little blackmail, a whole lot of
family and some sizzling romantic interludes could make Keri reconsider
the old dream of Keri & Joe 2gether 4ever?
Good book. Keri was really not happy to be stuck camping with Joe and his family. She is a city girl from California these days, and fresh air and bugs are no longer in her list of things to do. But if she wants to keep the job she has worked so hard for, she doesn't have a choice. Joe has given her a list of rules, and she has to follow them or lose the chance. Joe set this up, not so much for a chance to get even with Keri for leaving him, as to have a chance to spend some time with her. They quickly discover that their attraction hasn't diminished in 20 years. Keri quickly finds herself having lots of fun and enjoying being around Joe's family again. Joe also finds himself enjoying Keri the adult, and both realize that they have fallen back in love. They also discover that they still have the same problem - her job is in California and he doesn't want to leave New Hampshire. I really wasn't sure by the end how they were going to work everything out. I loved some of the situations with the kids, and there were some pretty funny things with the adults too. I enjoyed seeing the relationship issues with Joe's siblings also.
